Meetings have always been a necessary staple to company culture, project management, and decision-making. By nature, effective decisions are not made in a silo. Companies with transparency in decision making and sharing of information are typically more successful both financially and culturally.
However, meetings are rarely done right. Often the phrase “that could have been an email” can be heard or Slacked after a particularly long-winded or seemingly structureless internal meeting. Nobody wants to run ineffective meetings; however, most of us are not versed in “the art of the meeting.”
